Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bobbin mobile application and related services ("Service") provided by Bobbin Operating LLC ("Bobbin", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bobbin. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Account Registration
You may register using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all embroidery designs, projects, fonts, and other content you create or import into Bobbin ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.
By using collaboration features, you grant temporary viewing or editing access to invited collaborators for the duration of the collaboration session only.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
5. Subscription Plans
Bobbin offers a free tier (Lite) and paid subscription tiers (Premium and Pro). Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings
- Downgrading to a free plan does not delete your existing designs or data
6. Embroidery Machine Compatibility
Bobbin exports designs in standard embroidery file formats (PES, DST, JEF, EXP, VP3, and others). While we strive for broad compatibility, we cannot guarantee that exported files will work with every embroidery machine model. Always test with a sample stitch-out before production use.
7. WiFi Transfer
The WiFi transfer feature sends design files directly to embroidery machines on your local network. Bobbin is not responsible for any issues arising from machine firmware, network configuration, or file compatibility.
8. Cloud Storage
Designs synced via iCloud are governed by Apple's iCloud terms. Designs stored in Bobbin Cloud are hosted on AWS with encryption at rest and in transit. We perform regular backups but cannot guarantee zero data loss. We recommend keeping local copies of important designs.
9. Intellectual Property
The Bobbin app, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Bobbin Operating LLC. The thread catalog data is compiled from publicly available manufacturer information.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our servers within 30 days. Locally stored designs on your device are unaffected.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exported designs will produce specific embroidery results.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bobbin Operating LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damage to embroidery machines, fabric, or materials.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
